W.A Limestone is a family owned Western Australian company that has been operating for over 30 years. The company was purchased in 1973 and consisted of a small dozer, loader and a crusher in Wattleup area. Today the company operates in nine local authorities, has over 100 items of heavy earthmoving equipment and a trucking fleet of in excess of 70 vehicles.
With a strong emphasis on customer service and satisfaction, WA Limestone has become one of the biggest suppliers of road construction materials in the metropolitan area with quarries in Wanneroo, Henderson, Hopevalley, Postans, Baldivis, Dawesville, Lake Clifton, Whitby and Pickering Brook. From these locations, W.A Limestone supplies over 30 different types of raw materials to contractors, State government, local government, and the wider Western Australian public.
WA Limestone products and services include crushed limestone to various sizes, Armour rocks and spalls, building and commercial sands, machine hire, contract crushing, trucking hire and specialised breakwater and marina construction.
In 1999 the company formed WA Bluemetal, a hard rock quarry in Byford that supplies all types of granite products. In just 10 years, WA Bluemetal has grown to be one of the largest suppliers of hard rock to the Perth metropolitan area. Products include concrete and asphalt aggregates, roadbase, medal dust, armour rocks and spalls.
In 2003 the company expanded into the concrete industry with WA Premix. WA Premix operates south of the river with two plants, located in Mandurah and Bibra Lake. With 16 trucks available for delivery, WA Premix services the commercial and residential concrete markets. Products include domestic and commercial concrete, exposed aggregates and limecrete.
